Techniques for relaxation and release

Improving cognitive abilities and achieving optimal performance

Schultz's Autogenic Training

Dating from the early 20th century, it was invented by the German psychiatrist Johannes Heinrich Schultz. This technique helps you find inner calm quickly through a process of muscular and vascular relaxation.

A session, performed sitting or lying down, begins with inductions ("I am completely calm"; "my right arm is completely heavy") that allow you to mentally imagine and let yourself be taken over by the evoked sensation.

Proven effectiveness

This technique yields excellent results with stressed people and athletes undergoing mental training.

There are other relaxation and self-control methods that lead to inner harmony and help you better inhabit your body, better control your mental faculties and, above all, better manage your stress.

Jacobson's Progressive Relaxation

The ancestor of all relaxation techniques was created by the American physiologist Edmund Jacobson in the 1920s. Widely developed in Anglo-Saxon countries, it is based on reducing muscle tone.

You tense muscles one by one and then force them to relax, creating a deep physical and mental release.

Other Methods: Meditation and Sophrology

Relaxation is a factor in optimizing performance. In addition to the techniques above, I also offer these two powerful methods:

Meditation

Generally classified as a technique intended to influence consciousness through attention regulation, it is particularly effective for stress management.

Studies show that athletes who meditate 20 minutes a day significantly improve their running, agility and reaction time performances, as well as their physiological parameters.

Sophrology

Inspired by hypnosis and Eastern disciplines like yoga, it is a dynamic relaxation method that transforms anxiety and phobias into positive thoughts.

This mind-body practice relies on physical relaxation obtained through breathing exercises and the visualization of soothing images.
